Troy and the 52-4 District Court

The City of Troy was incorporated in 1955, after Troy Township was organized over one hundred years prior. Troy covers 33.6 square miles and is home to 80,980 people. Voted the safest city in Michigan in 2011, Troy is also the 19th safest city in the nation and was voted one of the "Best Places to Live" in the US by CNN Money.

Troy's main shopping area, The Somerset Collection, is visited by people from all over the world each year. With over 180 stores Somerset offers shoppers an elite experience because it's home to over twenty high fashion boutiques, including Tory Burch, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Herve Leger and Louis Vuitton. Troy is also home to a large number of corporations, including Bank of America and Kelly Services. It's central location and proximity to the major Detroit highways make it a perfect place for commuters to reside.
