Flat Rate Attorney Fee of $1,200.00
The Abdo Law Firm is now offering representation for driver’s license restoration cases for a flat attorney fee of $1,200.00. In order to qualify, your revocation must be based upon habitual violations of Michigan’s drinking and driving (DUI) laws and includes representation at DLAD hearings held in Livonia, Port Huron or Clinton Township Secretary of State branches.
Our attorneys will guide you from beginning to end in the process to seek restoration of your Michigan driver’s license. Our attorney fee of $1,200.00 will include a written fee agreement and covers all of the following steps:
1) INITIAL CONSULTATION: We Will Review Your Record and Get to Know Your History
The first consultation sets the stage for your entire license restoration proceeding. At this meeting, we will discuss your substance abuse history and what it takes to prove your sobriety to a Michigan DLAD hearing officer in order to get you back on the road. We help to organize everything that you will need to file for a hearing. Among other things, our firm will provide you with a template for your required character letters and recommend a qualified counselor to prepare your mandatory substance abuse evaluation. A fee will be required for the counselor’s services to provide your substance abuse evaluation and drug test.
2) MOCK HEARING: We Will Conduct a Mock Hearing at Our Office Prior to Your Hearing
One of our goals in every license restoration case is to reduce the element of surprise when you are in the hearing room. Our experience as attorneys regularly appearing before the DLAD has enabled us to know many of the questions that will be asked at a DLAD hearing. Our flat attorney fee of $1,200.00 includes an in-office consultation where we conduct a mock hearing with you. In this mock hearing, we go over the pertinent questions that will be asked at your DLAD hearing in order to reduce your anxiety and uncertainty on the hearing date. We will also try to anticipate other tough questions that you may be asked if you have a lengthy history involving alcohol and/or drugs. Here are some possible questions that we will review at your mock hearing:
- Are you an alcoholic?
- Do you ever go to places where alcohol is served?
- Do you live with anyone that consumes alcoholic beverages?
3) REPRESENTATION AT THE ACTUAL HEARING: An Attorney Will Appear at Your DLAD Hearing
In addition to advising you and requesting your hearing after you have obtained all of the required documentation, our office will appear and represent you on your actual hearing date before the DLAD. Our attorneys know the law, are veteran attorneys at the DLAD and will be well prepared to meet the burden of proof at your driver’s license restoration hearing. Our program, from the first consultation to the actual hearing, is a winning formula to help get your Michigan driver’s license restored.
Haven't you waited long enough? The ABDO LAW FIRM has a proven track record of winning hearings. By being 100% prepared and committed to your sobriety, you will be able to meet the strict Michigan Rule 13 burden of proof and get back on the road!
